High School diploma or equivalency, One year commercial kitchen experience, ServSafe certification, Valid driver's license, Reliable transportation, Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the cook with meal preparation following specific menus and program guidelines
- Maintain sanitary food practices in accordance with state and local requirements
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including refrigerators, stoves, and ovens
- Transport and distribute meals to various SFSP sites prior to meal service
- Communicate daily participant counts between summer camps and the kitchen
- Complete required meal count sheets for SFSP sites
- Maintain an understanding of USDA requirements
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency
- One year of experience in commercial kitchens or equivalent food service experience
- ServSafe certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to push and pull food carts up to 100 pounds
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
