Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with ingredient preparation for hot and cold food production while preventing cross-contamination
• Support servery set-up, service, and replenishment of food items
• Prepare food as a display or egg cook and adhere to portion control procedures
• Perform dishwashing tasks, including loading/unloading machines and stacking clean dishware
• Execute sanitation duties such as cleaning preparation stations, sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
• Greet and assist dining service patrons with excellent customer service
• Provide coverage for both front and back of house operations as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• 9th grade education or higher
• Current ServSafe certification or ability to complete the online course upon hire
• Strong commitment to dependability, punctuality, and personal hygiene
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in basic food production and ingredient preparation
• Basic knife skills, including chopping, dicing, and slicing

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $16.80 per hour
