Kinship Care Assessor

Responsibilities

• Complete fostering assessments of kinship or mainstream carers using Form K, Form C, or Form F
• Undertake statutory-related checks including references and safeguarding verifications
• Conduct weekly planned and unplanned home visits
• Facilitate placement planning meetings
• Prepare and present completed assessments to the Fostering Panel
• Manage work commitments and maintain accurate records on the service database
• Attend and contribute to case-specific meetings with managers and partner agencies

Requirements

• Social Work England registration
• BA in Social Work or equivalent
• At least 3 years of post-qualified experience in Children’s and Young People’s Services
• Proven experience in kinship or mainstream fostering assessments
• Experience presenting assessments to a Fostering Panel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for analytical reporting
