Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the production of kinetic defense items including projectiles, warheads, and rocket motors
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to ensure quality and performance
• Perform root cause and failure analysis for defects and non-conformances
• Oversee handling, storage, transport, and disposal of energetic materials
• Develop SOPs, hazard analyses, and risk assessments in compliance with explosive safety standards
• Act as technical authority for explosive safety and occupational health risks
• Manage ammunition tracking, serialization, and lifecycle documentation
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and logistics teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in munitions, defense manufacturing, or energetic materials
• Hands-on expertise in kinetic weapons systems and explosive production
• Strong technical knowledge of propellants, explosives, and materials science
• Experience with quality systems, statistical process control, and CAD tools
• In-depth understanding of explosive safety standards (NATO AASTP-1, MIL-SPEC)
• Understanding of ITAR, EAR, and defense trade compliance
• Ability to travel as required
