About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical testing including ECG setup, stress testing, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, vision, and hearing assessments.
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments such as VO2 max testing, functional movement screening, and body composition analysis.
- Review and interpret results from stress and resting ECGs and consult with physicians on clinical findings.
- Provide personalized client coaching by explaining assessment results and fitness recommendations in accessible language.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments for occupational health clients to support workplace wellbeing.
- Maintain testing equipment to ensure all tools meet regulatory standards.
- Travel to off-site locations for corporate wellness programs or specialized clinics as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or an equivalent field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical health assessment setting.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to explain complex health data to clients with varying health literacy levels.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding patient care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) or ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certification.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Background in occupational health or corporate wellness settings.
- Experience coaching clients through behavior change and health goal-setting.
- Familiarity with wearable health technology or fitness tracking platforms.
