About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead person responsible for the total operation of a lime kiln
- Supervise the work of Kiln Operator I staff on an assigned shift
- Exercise independent judgment to oversee kiln operations and prevent equipment malfunction
- Perform routine adjustments, repairs, and monitor various plant equipment
- Collect and record data regarding lime and carbon dioxide production
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in a Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Pumping, or Food Processing facility OR six months of experience as a Kiln Operator I
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain Ohio EPA Water Supply I certification within 24 months of appointment
- Must not be colorblind
