Kids Zone Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, nurturing, and fun environment for children aged 3 months to 8 years
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and co-workers through active listening and empathy
• Engage in play with children, encouraging their ideas and creativity
• Follow all program policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated team, practicing effective communication and inclusivity

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be DMACC work-study eligible and enrolled at least half-time
• Legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• Ability to complete Universal Precautions Training within 10 days of hire
• Ability to complete Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Training within 30 days of hire
• Ability to complete adult and pediatric CPR/first aid/AED training within 60 days of hire (current certification may be accepted)
