Kid Express Tech

Responsibilities

• Support nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians in delivering pediatric patient care tailored to developmental levels
• Assist nurse practitioners with the completion of patient care activities and point of care lab testing
• Register patients in a professional and efficient manner, providing a positive first impression
• Accurately enter patient information into the Epic EMR system by interviewing patients, parents, or legal guardians
• Verify third-party insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid coverage and assist with financial counselor meetings when necessary
• Ensure all legal consents, HIPAA notifications, and identification documentation are properly signed, verified, and scanned
• Collect patient co-pays for services
• Coordinate with staff to meet medical supply and equipment needs
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free environment in compliance with hospital safety management policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of PCA, STNA, or Medical Assistant experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Experience documenting in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (strongly preferred to work to the full scope of practice)
