Khmer Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into text format
• Follow project-specific guidelines regarding formatting, punctuation, and grammar
• Adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and completeness
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity
• Handle confidential information with strict discretion and professionalism
• Report technical issues or concerns to the appropriate channels promptly

Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Khmer (km_kh)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to commute to the Glendale, CA office (this is an on-site position)
• Ability to pass a language assessment test

Preferred Qualifications

• Typing speed of 40+ WPM in Khmer
• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or a related field
• Proficiency with Mac/PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
• Strong research abilities for verifying names, locations, and products
