About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate ice cream production machinery according to standard operating procedures
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety standards using "clean as you go" principles
- Drive the production process to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality targets
- Perform effective handovers with maintenance teams and the next shift, reporting all faults and issues
- Ensure all equipment is correctly used, stored, and set up
- Maintain a positive safety culture and adhere to all health and safety requirements
- Monitor production outputs to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly targets are met
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Aptitude for automated mechanical processes
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Proficient math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, wet, and humid environment with varying temperatures
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related manufacturing or production experience
