About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain ice cream production machinery according to standard operating procedures
- Drive the production process to ensure products meet customer specifications, quality, and food safety standards
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and GMP standards using a "clean as you go" principle
- Ensure effective handovers with the maintenance team and incoming shifts, reporting all faults and issues
- Monitor production targets to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly outputs are met
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements to maintain a positive safety culture on the line
- Manage machine tools, ancillary equipment, and proper storage of all production materials
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Aptitude for automated mechanical processes
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication, math, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, wet, and humid environment with varying temperatures
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related manufacturing or production experience
