About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted point of contact for key environmental clients across the Newcastle and Hunter region
- Coordinate sample receipt, registration, labelling, storage, dispatch and logistics
- Keep clients updated on sample status and turnaround times
- Work with laboratory and operations teams to monitor service performance
- Identify new business opportunities and support account growth strategies
- Prepare, scope and follow up quotations and tenders
- Track client activity, revenue trends and upselling opportunities
- Support field activities including site visits and sample collection
- Assist with basic laboratory testing and support activities when needed
Requirements
- Scientific qualification (Diploma or Degree) or relevant experience
- Experience in environmental laboratory services and/or client services
- Experience in business development, quoting or account management
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel locally
- Experience in a high throughput laboratory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with LIMS systems preferred
