Key Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted point of contact for key environmental clients across the Newcastle and Hunter region
• Coordinate sample receipt, registration, labelling, storage, dispatch and logistics
• Keep clients updated on sample status and turnaround times
• Work with laboratory and operations teams to monitor service performance
• Identify new business opportunities and support account growth strategies
• Prepare, scope and follow up quotations and tenders
• Track client activity, revenue trends and upselling opportunities
• Support field activities including site visits and sample collection
• Assist with basic laboratory testing and support activities when needed

Requirements

• Scientific qualification (Diploma or Degree) or relevant experience
• Experience in environmental laboratory services and/or client services
• Experience in business development, quoting or account management
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel locally
• Experience in a high throughput laboratory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with LIMS systems preferred
