About the role
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue and product goals
- Develop new customers while maintaining existing business base
- Call on ophthalmic healthcare professionals within the assigned geography
- Develop critical physician and staff relationships
- Provide weekly new business forecasts and updates
- Record all sales activity in Salesforce CRM
- Articulate compelling advantages of the ophthalmic product portfolio
- Travel throughout the assigned geography (approximately 80% field travel)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 3+ years of buy and bill sales and/or medical device sales experience
- Proven track record of success selling to physicians, private clinics, and hospitals
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel routinely with overnight stays
Preferred Qualifications
- Ophthalmology experience specifically in Retina
- Clinical understanding in the specialty of ophthalmology
- Knowledge of physician decision-making processes regarding patient care
