About the role

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue and product goals
  • Develop new customers while maintaining existing business base
  • Call on ophthalmic healthcare professionals within the assigned geography
  • Develop critical physician and staff relationships
  • Provide weekly new business forecasts and updates
  • Record all sales activity in Salesforce CRM
  • Articulate compelling advantages of the ophthalmic product portfolio
  • Travel throughout the assigned geography (approximately 80% field travel)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of buy and bill sales and/or medical device sales experience
  • Proven track record of success selling to physicians, private clinics, and hospitals
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel routinely with overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ophthalmology experience specifically in Retina
  • Clinical understanding in the specialty of ophthalmology
  • Knowledge of physician decision-making processes regarding patient care
