About the role
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue and product goals
- Develop new customers while converting the existing customer base
- Drive demand through organic pull-through and deploy reimbursement solutions
- Call on ophthalmic and primary care healthcare professionals in defined markets
- Develop critical physician and staff relationships within the assigned geography
- Record all sales activity in CRM in a timely manner
- Maintain in-depth understanding of the ophthalmic product portfolio and competition
- Articulate clinical benefits of products and solutions in a compliant manner
- Travel throughout the assigned geography (approximately 80% travel)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to build and foster longstanding customer relationships
- Experience executing strategic and targeted business plans
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adjust priorities as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Ophthalmic sales experience
- Clinical understanding of ophthalmology
- Knowledge of the payer landscape, including Commercial, Medicare Part D, and dual eligibility
- Understanding of physician decision-making processes regarding patient care
