About the role

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed corporate sales objectives within the forecourts channel.
  • Develop and implement annual Customer Joint Business Plans to drive profitable growth.
  • Manage the Account P&L, including disciplined G2N management and ROI optimization of promotional activities.
  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key customers and ensure effective national distribution.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and market share data to generate actionable growth plans.
  • Drive new product launches and innovation to grow brands ahead of category competitors.
  • Collaborate with field sales teams to ensure reach and share of voice in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Customer Management/Trade Marketing.
  • Strong commercial understanding and direct experience with forecourts customers.
  • Proven analytical, numeracy, and financial skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in the South African FMCG trading environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of trade.
  • Expertise in Net Revenue Management, including Trade Investment and Promotional Management.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to identify new business opportunities and correct performance weaknesses.
