About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative market strategies to reach healthcare providers and accounts in a compliant manner.
  • Act as the primary contracting point for Amgen Bone Health, leading contract delivery and business reviews.
  • Coordinate with GPOs and large Rheumatology Networks to support brand strategies.
  • Monitor business performance across the portfolio and identify drivers or barriers to success.
  • Partner with Market Access Team Account Executives to resolve contracting, membership, and channel issues.
  • Provide actionable field intelligence and recommendations to the Pricing, Brand, and GPO teams.
  • Shape the local environment by exploring alternate sites of care and value-based partnerships.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with 2 years of sales or account management experience, OR
  • Master's degree with 4 years of sales or account management experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of sales or account management experience.
  • Strong strategic business planning skills.
  • Knowledge of payor systems, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of account management or public payor experience.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, PharmD) with 7+ years of healthcare sales or marketing experience.
  • Established relationships with key accounts and customers within the San Diego or Hawaii geography.
  • Experience in clinic, hospital, or access environments, including knowledge of CMS policies.
  • Proven ability to navigate the "buy and bill" process and hospital reimbursement structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-makers.
