Kennel Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care for animals in the kennel
• Feed, walk, and assist with medication administration as directed
• Monitor animals for distress, illness, or behavior changes
• Clean and disinfect cages, runs, bedding, and common areas
• Safely handle and restrain animals during care and procedures
• Support check-in, check-out, and client communication
• Help maintain clinic cleanliness, organization, and supplies

Requirements

• Genuine passion for animals and animal welfare
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and restrain animals
• Basic computer skills
• Veterinary or animal care experience preferred
