KC-46A Mission Systems Avionics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering design, development, analysis, testing, and certification of mission avionics systems.
• Assist in the development of test plans and procedures to support certification activities.
• Coordinate system-level integration for mission avionics hardware and software.
• Provide technical management of critical suppliers and Boeing software team members to ensure design compliance.
• Conduct technical issue investigations and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCAs).
• Coordinate and ensure FAA, military certification, and Boeing airworthiness activities.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production labs and aircraft when technical issues occur.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principles or defensive systems.
• Experience with data networks, communication systems, or navigation systems.
• Experience working with FAA and/or Military type certification requirements.
• Experience with hardware and software integration and requirements decomposition.
• Experience in Technical Subcontract Management working with external suppliers.
