About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide reliability and maintainability engineering expertise with an emphasis on Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
  • Develop and implement comprehensive DMSMS programs to proactively address material shortages and obsolescence
  • Analyze reliability, obsolescence, and sustainment data to improve aircraft availability and effectiveness
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility
  • Perform analyses for reliability, maintainability, diagnostics, and system health to ensure mission success
  • Research parts across the program to identify and mitigate potential obsolescence risks
  • Create actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps for DMSMS resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering principles
  • 3+ years of experience extracting and compiling data from multiple sources
  • 3+ years of experience working with customers and suppliers
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, trend reporting, and compiling reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of higher education or related work experience
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience with parts obsolescence management and mitigation
  • Experience with computer programming and large database management
  • Experience with Government-Industry Exchange Program (GIDEP) or Item Unique Identification (IUID)
  • Experience working on military contract required deliverables
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools including Excel and PowerPoint
