About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Angular UI, RESTful microservices, and event-driven systems using Kafka
  • Create automated validation for Kafka producers/consumers and asynchronous workflows
  • Develop end-to-end (E2E), integration, functional, regression, and performance test suites
  • Validate microservice contracts, API interactions, and JSON/XML payloads
  • Perform database testing including schema validation and data integrity checks in MongoDB
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven
  • Collaborate with developers in code reviews to promote testability and quality
  • Perform root cause analysis for defects and create detailed, reproducible defect tickets in Jira
  • Identify automation opportunities from manual test execution to expand coverage

Requirements

  • Expertise in Kafka testing and event-driven architecture
  • Strong experience in API testing for REST APIs and microservices
  • Proficiency in test automation using Java, Selenium, Cucumber BDD, Karate Framework, or REST Assured
  • Hands-on experience with backend and database testing (Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, or DB2)
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git
  • Proficiency with API tools like Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk
  • Strong expertise in Angular UI and microservices
  • Hands-on experience with accessibility testing
  • Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements
