About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide push-in and pull-out instructional support for students with IEPs in reading, writing, mathematics, and other content areas
- Deliver specially designed instruction aligned to student IEP goals, accommodations, and grade-level standards
- Manage a student caseload, ensuring IEP goals, services, accommodations, and supports are implemented with fidelity
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals aligned to student needs and progress data
- Collect and analyze student data to adjust instruction and track progress toward goals
- Partner with general education teachers to plan accommodations, modifications, and interventions
- Build strong, proactive relationships with students and families
- Participate in coaching cycles, classroom observations, and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education or actively working toward certification
- Strong understanding of IEP implementation, accommodations, and progress monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to deliver small-group, targeted, and differentiated instruction
- Ability to use student data to adjust instruction and monitor progress

- Experience working in urban school communities
- Commitment to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff
