About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide push-in and pull-out instructional support for students with IEPs in reading, writing, mathematics, and other content areas
  • Deliver specially designed instruction aligned to student IEP goals, accommodations, and grade-level standards
  • Manage a student caseload, ensuring IEP goals, services, accommodations, and supports are implemented with fidelity
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals aligned to student needs and progress data
  • Collect and analyze student data to adjust instruction and track progress toward goals
  • Partner with general education teachers to plan accommodations, modifications, and interventions
  • Build strong, proactive relationships with students and families
  • Participate in coaching cycles, classroom observations, and professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education or actively working toward certification
  • Strong understanding of IEP implementation, accommodations, and progress monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver small-group, targeted, and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to use student data to adjust instruction and monitor progress

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in urban school communities
  • Commitment to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff
