K-12 Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities

• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning and uphold school routines
• Execute lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure seamless instruction
• Oversee student behavior during class, between classes, and during lunch periods
• Implement the regular teacher's discipline plan and enforce the Student Code of Conduct
• Motivate students to achieve their highest potential through assignments and activities
• Use technology effectively for instruction, record-keeping, and communication
• Support the overall effectiveness of the Academy by assisting during peak periods

Requirements

• Minimum of 60 college credits with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Ability to use technology as an instructional and communication tool
• Exemplary work habits verified by reference check

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid Michigan Teacher's Certificate
• Experience working with diverse staff, students, and parents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
