JW Electrician/Foreman

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on lighting, power distribution, and control systems
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems involving wiring, circuits, and fuses
• Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Supervise, mentor, and direct the daily work of electricians, apprentices, and CWs
• Develop daily and weekly work plans and assign tasks to maintain project timelines
• Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality standards and code requirements are met
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
• Manage delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
• Enforce safety rules and conduct site safety checks

Requirements

• Valid journeyman electrician license with the State of Wisconsin or willingness to obtain
• Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship or union training program (or equivalent hours)
• Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes
• Proficiency with electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds and work at heights or in confined spaces
