Juvenile Court Specialist

Responsibilities

• Independently supervise daily operations of specific programs or court support functions
• Schedule and maintain calendars for hearings, trials, interviews, and meetings
• Prepare, compose, and process detailed legal documents and correspondence using Microsoft Office
• Analyze incoming court orders and legal documents to determine appropriate actions
• Oversee the setting and notification of court trial calendars to ensure compliance with Washington State Codes
• Maintain and update detailed files, records, dockets, and logs on computerized and manual systems
• Coordinate unit functions during the Court Administrator’s absence
• Assist the public, staff, and other agencies by providing technical information
• Attend court to provide support to the bench, clerks, attorneys, and probation counselors
• Manage grant administration and oversight

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Three years of progressively responsible clerical experience
• Two years of legal office or court experience
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Notary Public license
