Junior Warranty Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform Level 1 and Level 2 field failure and warranty analyses on returned brake products using structured methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions and ensure full traceability of warranty topics.
• Prepare and deliver technical warranty analysis reports and feedback to customers via direct communication and OEM portals.
• Monitor warranty data and KPIs to support cost reduction initiatives and management reviews.
• Support the management and continuous improvement of the Warranty Analysis laboratory, databases, and test benches.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements within the warranty scope.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in Warranty, Quality, or Customer Service processes within the automotive industry.
• Solid knowledge of Field Failure Analysis processes and VDA standards (8D, Red X).
• Experience working with OEM customer portals (e.g., GM, Ford, STLA, Daimler, Nissan) and GD&T principles.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Power BI.
