Junior Utilities Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare utilities shop drawings including layouts, profiles, long sections, and cross sections
• Draft chamber details, manhole schedules, setting out drawings, and coordination drawings
• Review IFC drawings, standard details, specifications, and authority requirements
• Extract coordinates, levels, pipe sizes, slopes, and invert levels from approved drawings
• Support preparation of gravity line drawings (stormwater, sewerage) and pressure line drawings (potable water, irrigation, firefighting)
• Coordinate basic interfaces with roads, drainage, structures, street lighting, telecom, and electrical services
• Identify clashes, missing levels, or incorrect pipe sizes and revise drawings based on feedback
• Maintain proper drawing files, markups, revision records, and drawing trackers
• Support quantity take-off and schedule preparation when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 1 to 3 years of experience in utility drafting or infrastructure technical office work
• Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD
• Basic level in Civil 3D preferred
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Basic knowledge of utility shop drawings and gravity/pressure networks
• Ability to read utility layouts, profiles, and standard details
• UAE or GCC project experience is preferred
