Junior Trade Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor live trading systems and market connectivity across multiple venues
• Investigate real-time trading incidents, anomalies, and performance issues under time pressure
• Triage production problems and work with developers and quants to identify root causes
• Perform post-incident analysis and contribute to preventative improvements
• Build and maintain internal tools, dashboards, and scripts to improve monitoring and operational efficiency
• Assist with exchange-related issues such as order rejections, latency spikes, and data inconsistencies
• Help improve operational processes, runbooks, and alerting as the trading platform scales

Requirements

• STEM degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, methodical approach under pressure
• Solid programming fundamentals with required experience in Python
• Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line environments
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to investigate complex, real-world issues
• Clear communicator capable of working with both technical and non-technical colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with networking concepts, logs, and debugging distributed systems
• Interest in real-time systems, low-latency environments, and trading platform operations
• 1+ years of relevant experience is a strong plus
