Junior Tools Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal tools and automation scripts using JavaScript / TypeScript
• Develop lightweight APIs, CLI tools, and web utilities to enhance developer productivity
• Implement and manage API integrations between internal systems and external services
• Experiment with and build AI-powered developer tools using LLM APIs
• Collaborate with infrastructure and product engineering teams to streamline workflows
• Troubleshoot system and integration issues
• Write clear documentation and onboard teammates
• Participate in design reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning
• Contribute to unit and integration testing

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in software or system engineering
• Fluency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience building tools or automation scripts
• Experience integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, or webhooks)
• Familiarity with AI developer tools (ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) or serverless platforms
• Exposure to scripting in Python or Bash
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization and monitoring tools
• Interest in e-commerce or logistics tech
