Junior Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documents including software, systems engineering, and user documentation
• Write and edit installation, configuration, and how-to guides for hardware and software
• Create code documentation, implementation guides, and end-user guides
• Gather technical information and produce written text for various audiences
• Maintain an internal documentation library
• Coordinate layout and design of documents
• Work with developers to produce quality training materials

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Technical Writer in similar programs
• Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Active security clearance with polygraph
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Strong understanding of grammar and technical writing concepts
