Junior Technical Manager - Power Systems

Responsibilities

• Design electric freight corridors by analyzing freight flows and identifying high-potential electrification use cases
• Estimate energy demand (MWh) and peak load (MW) for EV charging infrastructure
• Assess grid readiness at the feeder and substation level to identify network constraints and upgrade requirements
• Evaluate the integration of renewable energy and storage systems, including peak load management and load shifting opportunities
• Build data-driven models for demand estimation, load profiling, and scenario analysis
• Develop temporal load curves based on charging behavior and freight operations
• Contribute to technical reports, research papers, policy briefs, and whitepapers
• Engage with utilities, industry stakeholders, and infrastructure providers to support program delivery

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in power systems, energy modeling, or EV charging/energy systems
• Strong understanding of distribution systems (feeders, substations, load basics) and electricity demand modeling
• Familiarity with EV charging systems and renewable energy integration
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate real-world operational data into structured, scalable models
• Comfortable working with evolving datasets and in a self-driven, evolving environment
