Junior Soil and Groundwater Remediation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental data to identify soil, groundwater, and interstitial air contamination issues
• Develop and implement characterization programs, pilot tests, and environmental monitoring
• Interpret results and formulate recommendations for the management and remediation of contaminated sites
• Collaborate on the preparation of service proposals and the drafting of rigorous technical reports
• Participate in the design and optimization of in situ and ex situ soil and groundwater remediation technologies
• Perform and supervise field work while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures
• Manage small-scale projects, including budget tracking, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Geological, Civil, Bioresources, or a relevant field) with an Earth Sciences orientation
• Eligibility for membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Strong interest in field work and the ability to travel to various sites
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken) and a good command of English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of in situ soil remediation technologies (bioventilation, air sparging, chemical oxidation, etc.)
• Familiarity with Quebec environmental regulations
• Graduate degree in a relevant discipline
• Previous experience in environmental consulting
