Junior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of applications using modern web technologies
• Set up controls test infrastructure to identify root causes for escalated issues in collaboration with US and HQ teams
• Manage all facets of control development, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and post-release maintenance
• Collaborate with R&D and global teams on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Translate complex Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback into functional technical requirements and development workflows
• Manage software version control and maintain detailed technical documentation and release notes
• Monitor market trends in controls and technology to ensure competitive positioning

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
• 1+ years of software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Previous internship or co-op experience in electronics or controller integration
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail for debugging and troubleshooting
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and collaborate with international teams
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Willingness to undertake occasional domestic or international travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BMS protocols such as BACnet, LON, or Modbus
• Experience integrating Home Automation systems like Apple HomeKit or Google Home
• Knowledge of API integration and Cloud development protocols (MQTT, LoRaWAN)
• Experience with microcontrollers, embedded systems programming, or PCBA level testing
• Familiarity with VRF or Ductless mini-split HVAC systems
