Junior Road Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare road and road furniture shop drawings, including layouts, grading, profiles, and cross sections
• Review IFC drawings to identify mismatches, conflicts, and issues
• Extract levels, coordinates, chainages, and setting out information from design models
• Prepare Civil 3D outputs such as alignments, surfaces, corridors, and quantity take-offs
• Coordinate road drawings with utilities, drainage, structures, and street lighting
• Identify clashes such as grading conflicts, utility cover level issues, and road tie-in problems
• Check road grading against drainage requirements to prevent ponding or reverse slopes
• Support the Senior Road Engineer with drawing trackers and progress reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 1 to 3 years of experience in road design, shop drawings, or infrastructure drafting
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Understanding of road geometry, pavement layers, and drainage interfaces
• Ability to read IFC drawings, standard details, and specifications
• Fresh graduates considered if they possess strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of road signage, markings, and temporary diversion layouts
• Understanding of construction sequences and constructability constraints
