Junior Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support the facilitation of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) to identify inherent and residual risks.
• Maintain the risk register and ensure RCSA outputs remain current with evolving regulatory environments.
• Execute control testing to assess the effectiveness of operational and financial controls.
• Track issue remediation and follow up on control deficiencies to ensure timely resolution.
• Collate and validate data from internal systems to support monthly risk reporting packs for senior management.
• Document operational incidents and work with business teams to agree on remediation actions.
• Partner with first-line teams to embed a culture of risk awareness across the organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to financial services through internships or part-time roles.
• Familiarity with risk frameworks, internal audit, or compliance concepts.
• Understanding of CFD products, derivatives, or margin requirements.
