Junior Researcher - Doctoral Candidate

Responsibilities

• Conduct applied research on the security, sovereignty, and performance of 5G/6G mobile networks within the international SpecX consortium.
• Design and implement analytical models and anomaly detection mechanisms for telecommunications infrastructures.
• Analyze vulnerabilities related to roaming, cloud computing, and cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with academic and industrial research teams to develop and validate innovative solutions for telecom operators.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and scientific publications for specialized journals and conferences.
• Participate in international workshops, training activities, and project meetings.
• Perform research stays at European academic institutions or industrial partners.

Requirements

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Solid knowledge of mobile networks (5G/LTE), network security, or cloud computing architectures.
• Demonstrated analytical and programming skills, specifically in Python or similar languages.
• Fluency in English (both written and oral communication).
• MSCA mobility eligibility: Must not have resided or carried out main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to recruitment.
• Must be within the first four years of a research career and not yet hold a PhD at the time of hiring.
