About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical research and data analysis, including building quantitative models for zero-emission truck adoption and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) comparisons.
- Support mathematical modeling for freight electrification, demand estimation, and infrastructure planning.
- Synthesize policies, scientific literature, and best practices related to zero-emission freight and emissions standards.
- Coordinate with external partners, including academic institutions, NGOs, industry leaders, and government bodies.
- Support engagement with regulatory and utility bodies regarding charging infrastructure and grid planning.
- Draft technical reports, policy briefs, working papers, and presentation materials for diverse audiences.
- Assist in the delivery of workshops and industry events related to freight electrification and emissions accounting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in freight, energy, transport, sustainability, or financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build multi-scenario financial models from scratch.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into structured insights.
- Strong written English communication skills for producing clear, well-structured reports.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and strong stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in supply chain, sustainability, public policy, or finance.
- Experience with financial or economic modeling, such as TCO analysis or technoeconomic assessments.
- Familiarity with geospatial tools (e.g., QGIS) or data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of emissions calculation tools or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) frameworks.
- Exposure to innovative financing solutions like blended finance or credit guarantee structures.
