Junior Reporter

Responsibilities

• Write and research lifestyle and entertainment content for both print and digital platforms
• Attend and cover events, launches, and press briefings on behalf of What’s On
• Pitch fresh ideas and assist the editor with developing feature content
• Collaborate with video producers and editors to storyboard and script short-form video content
• Create engaging social media content that complements editorial features
• Ensure all copy adheres to What’s On’s tone and style guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in editorial or content creation (internships included)
• Strong writing and research skills with an adaptable tone
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress
• Basic photo editing skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• A keen interest in the UAE and Saudi lifestyle, entertainment, and dining scenes
