Junior Report Developer (Intern), Analytics and Insights

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into visually compelling and user-friendly Power BI dashboards.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports that provide insights into fundraising programs, operations, and supporter engagement.
• Support the delivery of key performance metrics, forecasting models, and measurement frameworks.
• Work with Data Engineers to create standardized data views and maintain clear documentation for data definitions and transformation logic.
• Build and test data models optimized for performance and scalability.
• Monitor Power BI data gateways to ensure reliable data refreshes and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Conduct data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure report accuracy.

Requirements

• Recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write structured and efficient queries.
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI and using DAX for calculated fields and measures.
• Ability to optimize large datasets and refine slow-performing queries.
• Strong documentation skills to capture business processes and code logic.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Python for data transformation and automation scripts.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative workflows.
