About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys and senior paralegal staff in all phases of real estate transactions, including mortgage financing, mezzanine financing, and commercial real estate acquisitions.
  • Maintain closing checklists and prepare signature page packets, escrow instruction letters, and ancillary documents.
  • Coordinate UCC, tax lien, judgment, litigation, and bankruptcy searches and prepare summaries of results.
  • Manage post-closing matters, including the distribution of original documents and the preparation of closing binders.
  • Form corporate entities, prepare operating documentation, and apply for employee identification numbers.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and prepare transfer forms on ACRIS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and substantive paralegal experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, balance priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) or legal technology platforms.
  • Experience with real estate transaction documentation and closing processes.
