Junior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process, final, incoming, and raw material inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Execute First Article Inspection (FAI) and New Product Development (NPD) inspections for part validation.
• Identify root causes of non-conformance and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and maintain the calibration of measuring and testing equipment in compliance with NABL requirements.
• Perform supplier and process audits to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
• Maintain a "Safety First" culture by conducting risk assessments and identifying workplace hazards.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues in the machine shop and at supplier locations.

Requirements

• Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a Quality function within a production facility (Automobile or Engineering industry preferred).
• Proficiency in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
• Strong knowledge of handling various measuring instruments.
• Understanding of quality tools including FMEA, MSA, and PPAP.
• Proven ability in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMM operation, CNC turning, and conventional machines.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and different grades of raw materials.
• Familiarity with Lean Principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
