Junior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and expediting K-12 construction, modernization, and repair projects
• Act as a liaison between District Project Management Units, Maintenance and Operations, and environmental consultants
• Review Requests for Assistance (RFAs), determine scope of work, and review project drawings
• Coordinate project funding, prepare funding request packages, and track job progress
• Request and review cost proposals from environmental consultants for accuracy and viability
• Coordinate asbestos abatement and lead remediation scheduling and execution
• Review contractor submittals, daily logs, and certified payroll for invoice approval
• Analyze change orders and requests for alterations in scope of work
• Support project closeout and certification efforts
• Prepare bid processing requests and monitor the contract award process
• Attend Job Start meetings to review safety and environmental requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Project or Construction Management
• Experience in educational facility or public agency construction projects
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental field (or equivalent years of experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with safety construction protocols and Cal OSHA requirements
• Knowledge of environmental procedures
• Proficiency with Asset and Work Management System (Maximo)
