Junior Project Controller

Responsibilities

• Support the assigned Project Controller in maintaining project cost and schedule deliverables
• Assist with project invoicing, accruals, earned value reporting, and forecasting support
• Prepare, validate, and organize project data including labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor information
• Review incoming project information for completeness and accuracy to identify discrepancies
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project tracking systems
• Assist with project setup, estimate handover coordination, and project closeout activities
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather required project information and support month-end reporting
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the implementation of automation tools

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, finance, accounting, or construction coordination
• Experience within an EPC or industrial construction environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, InEight, Viewpoint, or similar construction management software
• Progress toward certifications through PCI, PMI, or AACE (e.g., CAPM, PMP, CCP)
