Junior Product Designer

Candide is an AI-first tech company based at Babylonstoren in the Cape Winelands. We build the digital products behind some of the world's most celebrated hospitality and lifestyle estates, including eCommerce platforms, mobile apps, and booking engines.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the design team, product owners, and engineers to build products and services
• Understand customer needs and use them to inform design work
• Ensure consistency in the digital expression of sister estate brands
• Design new user journeys and iterate on existing ones
• Refine interfaces and interactions to create user-friendly experiences
• Identify opportunities for driving conversion rates
• Use and follow a multi-brand design system consistently
• Embrace AI-first tools across the design process from research to handoff

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or a related field
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English
• A portfolio demonstrating design thinking, process, and trade-offs
• Proficiency in Figma
• Sharp eye for detail and aesthetic instinct
• Curiosity regarding AI tools in the design process
• Strong communication and presentation skills
