Junior Product Category Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Category Manager in establishing and implementing department strategies based on budget assumptions
• Manage selected product groups
• Conduct tenders and prepare documentation
• Implement the company's purchasing and pricing strategies
• Support the Manager in conducting commercial negotiations
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and domestic/foreign supplier portfolios
• Recommend new activities within the assigned category
• Ensure product availability in stores
• Maintain ongoing cooperation with suppliers, other company departments, and MAKRO stores

Requirements

• Higher education (preferably in trade, economics, or food technology)
• Experience in a purchasing department
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position
• Highly developed negotiation and analytical skills
• Very good command of English (spoken and written) for daily communication
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Communication skills, openness to change, and flexibility
• Readiness to learn and develop within the organization
