About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of discipline strategies and piping design criteria
- Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle
- Review piping design drawings and key discipline documentation
- Create 3D plant models ensuring proper routing and clash-free integration
- Utilize industry-standard software like AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, or SP3D
- Generate scope of work specifications and technical enquiry packages
- Contribute to cost estimation and man-hour tracking for piping deliverables
- Produce designs in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Multiple discipline drawing office practice certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in EPCM, Construction, or Engineering environments
- 2-3 years of specific piping design experience
- 2 years of draughting experience in mining and mineral processing
- Proficiency with Microstation V8 and Plant 3D
- Knowledge of P&IDs, fabrication, construction, and operations
- Understanding of mechanical and piping technology
- Exposure to piping stress analysis tools
