Junior Payment Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile daily bank and payment transactions in financial systems
• Monitor incoming and outgoing payments across various payment methods
• Identify, investigate, and flag discrepancies or settlement differences
• Support the resolution of payment-related issues in collaboration with senior team members
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all payment processes
• Prepare regular reports on payment volumes, performance, and status
• Act as a first point of contact for internal payment-related inquiries
• Support testing and implementation of new payment methods and system improvements

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, reliable way of working
• Proficiency with Excel and financial systems
• Hands-on mindset and willingness to learn
• Fluency in German and basic English

Preferred Qualifications

• First practical experience in Accounting, Finance, Treasury, or Payment Operations (e.g. internship or working student role)
