Junior Operations Assistant (Equipment)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, and audit checks of test rooms
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on study equipment, including cleaning and basic adjustments
• Conduct daily rounds in test rooms to provide immediate support to research teams regarding equipment issues
• Manage the shipment of equipment for external calibration and request quotes from suppliers
• Maintain and update the metrology system with calibration certificates to ensure traceability and compliance
• Assist in inventory control for supplies and spare parts
• Support logistical demands for samples and study materials
• Maintain organized documentation for maintenance, cleaning, and calibration records

Requirements

• Degree (completed or in progress) in Biology, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, or related fields
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle deadlines and emergency occurrences
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Availability for overtime as required by operations
• Basic English skills for technical reading of manuals and certificates

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with technical or electronic equipment maintenance, preferably in a laboratory or research environment
