About the role
Responsibilities
- Secure quotes for materials, equipment, or services for estimating during the bid process
- Identify and source materials and services based on cost and quality evaluations
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to fulfill project or maintenance requirements
- Review and process returns, claims, and supplier issues
- Prepare and issue RFP and tender documents and evaluate bids
- Monitor and track vendor performance and maintain vendor relationships
- Communicate relevant procurement information to internal stakeholders like engineering and accounting
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business or a related discipline
- 1-2 years of procurement experience, preferably in a nuclear EPC environment
- Understanding of procurement and contract administration processes
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional designations
- Experience with low to medium risk and complexity projects
