Junior Network Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor the status and performance of LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks to ensure availability.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of network equipment including switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
• Resolve connectivity incidents and requests, escalating issues when necessary.
• Participate in the implementation of network infrastructure changes, updates, and improvements.
• Document network configurations, diagrams, and operating procedures.
• Administer network services such as DHCP and DNS.
• Execute connectivity and performance tests to guarantee service quality.
• Support Windows infrastructure operations, including file and print servers.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in networks, IT support, or infrastructure.
• Degree in Systems, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, basic routing, and NAT).
• Experience with network hardware such as Cisco or Meraki.
• Knowledge of firewalls, network monitoring tools, and wireless networks (Wi-Fi).
• Familiarity with protocols including DHCP, DNS, ICMP, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Basic understanding of operating system services like file servers, print servers, antivirus, and antispam.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
