About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate real-time core network or infrastructure issues
- Maintain and improve the network and provide technical support and fault investigation
- Analyze end-to-end call traces in protocols such as MAP, TCAP, DIAMETER, SIP, and GTP
- Troubleshoot international roaming issues for voice and data
- Collaborate with worldwide mobile operator engineers for live tests and root cause analysis
- Create on-demand dashboards to monitor metrics and validate service restoration
- Provide L3-level troubleshooting and respond to NOC hotline calls and incidents
- Develop KPIs and training materials related to signaling and best practices
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a telecom environment performing L3 support or similar roles
- Expertise in protocol signaling analysis for 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE networks
- Solid understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP networking (IPv4 and IPv6)
- Experience analyzing signaling traces using Wireshark
- Proficiency with SS7 signaling network troubleshooting
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and ElasticSearch
- Basic knowledge of Python, Linux, and Bash
- Ability to work on a 24/7 on-call rotating roster
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
